I am facing an issue with adobe captivate program on my Mac. Whenever I am opening captivate or opening any old file that I have done before the system is not responding and I can't do anything other than force quit and closing the program. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but it didn't help.

Please help as its very urgent and I need to work on captivate asap.

Under these circumstances I would do  the following:

    1. Run /Applications/Adobe Captivate 9/utils/CleanPreferencesMac
    2. Delete /Users/<user account>/Documents/My Adobe Captivate Projects/SampleProjects
    3. Delete /Users/<user account>/Documents/My Adobe Captivate Projects/Interactions_9_0
    4. Uninstall Captivate
    5. Reinstall Captivate

This should give you a clean install with none of your preferences left behind. If that doesn't solve your problem you may wish to reach out to Adobe for direct support (CaptivateHelp@Adobe.com).

Do you clear the Cache regularly. Did you clear Preferences and delete

Layouts folder in Public documents when reinstalling?
