Adobe Captivate purchase questions

1) I  previously used Captivate v9 on PC. I on a Mac now and ready to purchase Captivate 2017. What are the main differences between the PC and Mac versions?  Will I lose some functionality moving to iOS?

2) With some e-learning programs you get two installs. Could I get a Mac and a PC version?  This would give me a version for my PC laptop as well as my main computer, the Mac, which I prefer. That way I could deliver native files in PC format if needed.

On the Mac, you will also get the ability to create video demos not only for your Mac but for iPhone and iPad as well. I'm a PC person so I might have the naming wrong on that feature.

There is normally no difference, you can exchange files between a Mac and a PC. However: you'll need a hotfix if you are on HighSierra. Patch is not yer released.

You get two installs, but for same OS., both for Mac or both for PC.

My Mac OS is High Sierra. What do you mean by hot fix? This is a problem. Does that mean I should try to get Captivate 9? Is that still possible?

Captivate 9 won't work on High Sierra either.  You need to be on Captivate 2017 and you need to download and install the hotfix (software patch) that Adobe has made available to address the incompatibility issue with High Sierra.  (To my knowledge this patch is ONLY available for Cp 2017 and not for Cp9 but someone correct me if I am wrong about that).

If you Google for threads on this forum about "Adobe Captivate High Sierra hotfix"  you should find several links to it.
