Can somebody help me please on 'how do you setup in Captivate 8 that a slide plays up to a certain slide ie say slide 1 to slide 10 preview without having to click on next everytime?

Your help is much appreciated!

Cheers

Rod, you are  a legend !

I had incorporated a simulation into a Captivate template and everything came to a screeching halt due to buttons I had added and I didn't check the timing and pause settings.

Thank you so much for being so helpful and your quick response is most appreciated!

Is there any chance you've imported PowerPoint?

If so, prior to importing, you deselect the option under 'Advance Slide' that says "On mouse click," and select: "Automatically."

    Hi BDuckWorks,

No I actually copied from a simulation and pasted it into a Captivate template adding buttons which had a pause attribute but thank you I have learnt something in regard to Powerpoint now.

All you need to do is make sure there are no objects on those slides 1-10 that would normally pause the timeline.

That means you need to make sure there are no click boxes, buttons, text entry boxes, Smart Shape buttons or interactive widgets on those slides, or else you have to set preferences for those objects so that they do not pause the playback.
