Hi,

I have downloaded the trial version of presenter 11.1 and have licensed version of captivate 9. When i import swf file from captivate to presenter and publish file using presenter, it shows error message that swf files omitted from HTML5 output as they cannot be rendered.

Could anyone please suggest what are the settings required in presenter or captivate to publish the output successfully.

Hi,

I believe you are trying to import application simulation captured in captivate and publish it using Presenter.

Presenter's HTML5 output does not support SWF. So you can publish your project in SWF format and it will work.

Another way is, capture simulation in Captivate, publish it in a video format as mp4 and then import it in Presenter. HTML5 publish will work in that case.

Hi,

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. Now I'm able to publish the SWF files.

I'm having few presentations in ppt format. Now when I insert the SWF file in ppt and publish..... The presenter shows the progress bar and suddenly publish stops. Could you please suggest how should I publish the output.

In most of the ppts, I again browsed and inserted SWF files and they worked but in few ppts, I'm still not able to get the publish folder,

Also, the existing presentation was in ppt format, I saved it to pptx because the preview option is available only in the pptx format.and I tried to publish output from ppt format as well but not working.

can anyone please suggest how to publish output in presenter 11.1 so that htm file opens in web page.

Kindly make sure flash is enabled for your browser and you have respective flash player downloaded for your browser.

Also SWF content does not play by default on a local machine. You need to host it on a server. Even a local server will do for e.g. Windows 10's IIS server will also do.

If you want it to play without hosting on a server, you need to change the global security settings for flash player on your system.

open this URL on your broswer-Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel

Select always allow radio button, add a trusted location on your system (for e.g. Presenter published output location on your system will do)
