Audio Transcript

Hello,

Adobe Presenter's standard player includes a Notes tab that displays whatever text was in the associated Notes section of the source PowerPoint slide. Storyline has a similar capability. In Adobe Captivate, if I have audio narration on a page, is there somewhere I can paste the text transcript of the audio and have it display in a panel (like how the course table of contents displays in a panel)? I do not want to go through the effort of cutting up the transcript and synchronizing it to the audio to create closed captions. I just want to put the entire text associated with each slide into a panel somewhere in the published course so learners can read it if necessary.

Thanks!

Thanks Rod. I thought that might be the case, but it is nice to get confirmation. Disappointing, though. A transcript tab in the player would be useful, and is something that competing products have already.

    Cheers!

Not really.  You cannot restructure what appears in the TOC area in this way.  You can use Slide Notes as Closed Captioning but that will appear in a panel at the bottom of the slide over the top of that area of content.

You may need to look at creating your text transcript in Shapes or Captions that you position to display down the side of the stage area, or animate so that they slide in and out like the TOC.
