Question

background music is delayed 27 seconds, please help!

I am a new Captivate user, and i am having difficulty with background music.

I uploaded the music file to the background audio. In the edit background window it appears correct, and have 0 seconds set for the fade in, but when i published the project the music takes 27 seconds to start. It also jumps part way through the song. I have no idea what to do to make the song start at the beginning of the video.

I'm not sure if I have a setting wrong somewhere, but I've tried adding a 0.1 fade in to see if maybe that would make it start sooner but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

N

How are you testing this?  From your hard drive or after uploading to a web server?

Are you publishing to SCORM and is there an LMS involved?  If so, have you tried uploading the same content to SCORM Cloud and testing from there?

I am just publishing it to my hard drive and watching the video from there at this point, I want to make sure its ready before i post it anywhere.

i have even tried a different song, and its really quiet for the first 27 second and then increases to the normal level for the rest of the video.
