Can't drop down On Enter, On Exit, On Success in Captivate 9

Just downloaded CP9 trial on Mac to give a test drive while I wait for my IT department to get me license.

Tried to create a couple of things and noticed that on the On Enter, On Exit, and On Success (for click of a button), it defaults to either No Action or Go to the next slide.  When I hit the drop down arrow to try to change this to any other property in the list i.e. Execute Java Script nothing happens. I click the drop down arrow and the box grays out as to indicate that I am selecting it, but it does not show me any of the many action items that I know should be there from using past versions.

I have restarted CP and tried several new projects all with the same results.  Any suggestions?

Which version of OSx are you working on? Are you seeing the issue for any slide or for a specific type of slide (eg Question slides)? Also, is it happening for all projects or for a specific project?

    Thanks

I am running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.  The issue seems to persist, I have opened multiple types of projects and the issue seems to exist on all slide types that I have tested, along with any button that I insert and try to attach an on success to.....

Thanks in advance for any advice

From what I read on the forum, El Capitan is not tested for CP9, and that may be the issue. Never install a new OS assuming that all applications will work smoothly, I learned that from bad experiences in the past.
