Can't install Captivate 10 (2017)

Ok, so I downloaded the new version of Cp, and I just tried to install it on my work computer after checking my home computer where I have both Cp 9 and Cp10 (and both open and work fine). I tried starting the installation here but it won't let me, saying that there's a "problematic or preliminary version of Adobe Captivate 2017 (64 bit) in the computer and you can't install the new version until you uninstall the previous one" (it doesn't say exactly this, I'm translating vaguely from spanish as I'm installing it in spanish). The thing is, I don't want to uninstall the previous version as I use both, and I could do it perfectly fine in my other computer.

Any ideas what could the reason for this be? And if there's a solution? Thanks!

The only reason I can think of is that there has been a prerelease version of CP2017 on that system?

How would I be able to know if there's a prerelease? Like, where could I check?

I recently tried unisntalling Cp9 and reinstalling it (to fix any errors there might be), but when I tried to install Cp10 it gave me the same message :S

I didn't ask for the OS.

Try to clean the Preferences. Since you are not able to install Captivate 2017 you have to do that manually. For Windows you have to look in your Profile\AppData\Local\Adobe for the folder Captivate 10.0. Delete that folder. Then try to install CP2017 again.
