Question

Cannot view PDF in LMS on tablet

Simple learning project includes Web Object = PDF file (this means readers can print the content)

Load project into Scorm = works fine

Load project into LMS (Taleo) and works fine on PC but error = Cannot read PDF on Samsung Tablet  (company issue)

Has anyone had issues with tablets and embedded PDF files?

Using Captivate 9. LMS = Oracle Taleo

I think I have found the answer to this:

All works fine on PC mac and on iPad

Problem is with Android WHEN the PDF is triggered from a browser page where the user had to login.

The issue is android security layer that is calling for a password - hence the display = 'not pdf format' (it is likely html)

Only solution is to download the pdf separately onto the tablet and point at it - or better still get everyone an iPad

hope this helps others

It sounds like your Cp file should link to an HTML page which then links to the PDF.

It will be an added step for the majority who don't have the issue, but those who do won't get the error when the password request is displayed.
