Captivate 2017-New default styles not saving

I have set up new recording default styles, selected the little box on each new style to make the new style the default style, restarted Captivate but my new default styles are not saving/displaying as default when I start a new software simulation.  I have to reselect each object style again.  What am I doing wrong?

    Recording default styles are part of the theme. Did you save the theme as a custom theme, maybe set it as default theme? You have to apply that theme to a new project. Have a look at:
