Captivate 8 file linked to PPT 2010 won't update

I created a Captivate file from a Powerpoint 2010 presentation. Now that I've made some changes to the powerpoint, the Captivate won't sync up with the source file. It's weird, because I've done it before with other files and it always worked.

I go to Edit-Edit with MS Powerpoint-Edit presentation, but during the process it gets stuck and stops responding.

Can you mention the full version number of Captivate 8 you are using and also which OS you are working on?
