I'm using Cap 8 on Windows 7 64bit. I am getting a red box in place of the image in my project. How can I fix this?

Thanks for your expert help and advice:-)

I've got the same red box image problem.  This seems to be an unanswered question for several Years?

It sounds like Cp can't find the image. Are you pointing it to the right path?

Dave, I'm not sure how Captivate would manage to "not find the image". It's my understanding that it operates a lot like PowerPoint. There is no way to reference an external image and they are all copied inside the .CP file.

T Smith, are you able to right-click the image and find it in the Library? And when you look at the Library, does the image thumbnail show at the top?

Personally,. my gut says it may be the image format.

This red box issue is usually related to the image being something like a 24bit or 32bit PNG with transparency.  The fix is usually to increase your slide quality setting to HIGH 24 bit and see if that makes it go away next time you publish.
