Captivate 8 program super lag

I've cleared the cache, and I've cleared the temp files. That helped some. However, the lag that occurs when I click on a slide from one to the next is pretty extreme. We're talking 1-2 seconds. That adds up, especially if I just want to quickly review a slide and then look at another. Anybody have any insight as to what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

Yes, you should always run Captivate as administrator and never use a project that is on a networked drive. Copy the project to your local drive and set it back on the network when finished. Captivate is heavy on graphics and memory, have 32GB RAM, start it from an SSD and have NVidia card with 2GB of RAM.

Are you running Captivate as Administrator? Is everything on your system (installation, project and cache folders)? Captivate is pretty heavy, the minimum requirements mentioned by Adobe are ridiculously low. Hope you have a more performing system. Are you running 64-bit version?

Should I be running Captivate as an Administrator? The installation and cache are on my system. The actual projects are on our network. I've got Windows 8.1 on a six-core processor with a 64-bit operating system and 8.00GB RAM.
