Question

Captivate 8 - slide bleed through on preview in browser?

hi all!

I'm seeing something very odd in one of my slides and I'm honestly not sure what's causing it. When I preview this slide/project in a browser window, this slide ends up the the shadow of another slide behind it. Like this:

and

the slide is set to being a JPEG resolution so Med/High? I've cleared the cache and all of that with no luck. This is the only slide it does it on so something I've got on here is triggering it. There's a background graphic with two Text Entry Boxes and two buttons. If I preview it with preview current slide/preview next five slides it doesn't happen. Only if I preview in the browser. Thoughts?

Try turning off the compression options found under Edit > Preferences > SWF Quality.

The one that usually causes these "ghost lines" is the Advanced SWF Compression option.  But the others can also sometimes cause issues.  If you can get rid of the issue by removing compression, try turning them on one by one again until it reappears.  Then you know what to do.

tried unchecking each one and cleared cache again - nothing different

tried moving a few slides (incl. my problem slide)  to a new project - still the same issue

weirdness continues... I'll try a few other things and report back!
