Captivate 9 - Clipboard fills up very quickly

We paste a lot of images into Captivate 9 projects from other programs. After pasting in a few images, we can no longer do it without rebooting Captivate. We do a lot of copying and pasting from other projects. Is there a way to clear the Clipboard without shutting down Captivate. Tried clearing Windows clipboard and that didn't work.

It is the Windows clipboard, and I learned to avoid it when possible. Why do you copy/paste so much? You can import images to the Library, and drag them from there to the stage. I know this is not answering your question, but Captivate is certainly not the only application that has issues with this practice, even though you have plenty of RAM.

To echo the above comments, I've found that Copy and Paste to Captivate creates problems:

Text from word, even without formatting, will include invisible characters that will cause Captivate to choke.

Images will past in BMP format, causing Captivate to choke.

It is tedious, and inefficient, but creating individual image files (I'm using PNG in Cp8) has provided the best results.

As TinkerTrainer‌ stated above, editing once they're in the library is consistent and reliable; at least until Adobe releases and update to Photoshop without any updates to Captivate.

I need to update screen shots a lot as well. I save mine as .PNG files using MS Paint. When I need to update one I go to the Library in Captivate, find the screenshot I need, then tell it to edit it using Paint. Every slide using that screen shot is updated when I save my changes, and I don't have to worry about multiple versions unless I wish to.

We have to 'fix' a lot of screen captures and it is easier to do it in SnagIt and paste onto a slide. It takes too long to do the fix, save it out to a folder and then go import and then delete the images that we no longer need when we can just do a copy/paste.

Also when Captivate no longer accepts pastes from other programs, I can still copy/paste in my other products such as Word and Snagit. It seems to be a Captivate issue somehow.
