Captivate will not launch

Captivate will not launch. I'm trying to do a trial. I get a message that says it encountered an error and must close. Support looked at machine remotely, tried renaming files _old. Not fixed. Program will not uninstall either. Looks like this has been a problem for two versions. Captivate is worthless if it won't run.

Is it installed on your system? With default settings? Are you on a Win system? In that case you have to run it as administrator.
