Question

Captivate window stuck

I'm on Captivate 9 (9.0.2) and my Captivate window gets stuck on the edge of the screen, with part of it offscreen. I can resize left and bottom but I can't move it at all, which is annoying because part of the top and right are cut off, and I can't drag / move the window at all for some reason. Any suggestions?

I saw an answer to a similar question referencing Windows but I'm on a Mac (Sierra) and not seeing how I can resolve this.

Thanks!

Which OS are you using and which screen resolution?

THe DPI solution is necessary if you want to record software simulations or Video demo in CP9. Normally it is not necessary to use Captivate as application, I have been using that version on many different screen resolutions.

I'm on a Mac (OS version = Sierra). It's weird but under Displays, it doesn't show absolute resolution, but the relative resolution is set to the second highest.

Hi,

This seems to be an issue of resolution, try the solution below to make Captivate 'aware' of your screen resolution and display accordingly:

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64 (or corresponding location in your system)

2. Find AdobeCaptivate.ini file

3. Change the value of DpiAwareness = 1

4. Save the file

5. Launch Captivate as admin

PS: Make sure you are on the latest version 9.0.2.437 as previous ones had some issues. You can download latest build from: Adobe - Adobe Captivate Support Center : Downloads

OR, simply update from Help > Updates from within Captivate

/best.

I'm on Mac though - can you provide similar instructions for that OS?
