Click object and make it disappear?

I know this must be really simple. I just want the user to click on a shape with text and have it disappear? It is a message that appears on the slide, and when they click it want it to disappear.

Thanks so much.

Check the option 'Use as Button' for that shape.

Go into the Actions tab (which will appear when you have checked that first optionà).

Open the dropdown list with commands next to On Success, choose the command Hide, and then indicate the shape itself.

Uncheck the option 'Continue Playing Project' to avoid that the playhead is released. It will remain at the pausing point of that shape button, which is by default 1,5secs. You can change the timing in the Timing Properties panel if you want.

Try it with the state button widget. You can show and hide almost everything inside the state button widget individual by its appearance from 0% to 100 %.

Moderator: can you explain what you mean by 'state button widget'? Is that an external widget, not included in the Captivate box?

Answer: this question wrongly ended up in the Muse forum as well. Muse has that type of widget, but it is not available in Captivate.
