Course will not automatically launch; must press Play on a white screen first

Hello!  When I launch my course via the LMS, I see a blank white slide and I must press the Play button to make the course start.  If I view the course in Internet Explorer from my desktop, I do not have this problem.  I am using the default Start and End Publish Settings, as I always have; the Preloader is set at 100% and AutoPlay is checked also.  Can anyone tell me how to make the course automatically play when launched?
