Customize Drag & Drop in Adobe Captivate 9

Hello everyone

I'm trying to create the following drag & drop interaction:

I have two images as categories. (For example the first image means plants ond the second means animals)

Then I have about 10 text-fields with animals and plants and the students have to drag and drop the textfield over the correct image.

But the textfield should not overlay when they are snapping to the image. So here it would be nice to define an area, where the textfield can be placed.

At the end it would be nice to have a feedback to the students, so they can see which textfields are correct and which are wrong.

Is this possible with captivate 9?

Thanks for your help.

I don't understand fully what you want with your first question. Did you explore all functionality of the Snap section in the D&D panel? More tips:

As for the second question: CP9 has InBuilt states for the D&D objects which you can use as feedback, here another link:

    Hi Lilybiri

Thanks for your reply. I found the answer in the Snap Section.

For my idea the solution was to order the drop-elements side by side instead of using the anchor function.

For a better understandig I have tried to draw a picture of my idea:

So my idea is, that students have to drag and drop the text captions onto the correct picture.

After they submit, the system tells them which text captions are correct.

So far I was able to do what I had in mind. :-)

As it seems in my Captivate Version the inbuilt states DropCorrect and DropIncorrect are missing.

Is this because I'm working on a Trial Version?

    Thanks for your help.

You need to set up advanced actions on accept. See the step in Lilybiri's post. You have to create the states using state view and then use the action to Change state or create an advanced action if you want to do more than just change the state view.
