Question

Disable click sounds of individual states?

I created a button with states in Captivate 9, and didn't pay attention to the fact that Click Sounds wasn't disabled at first.  After publishing, I went back in and selected the checkbox to disable click sounds on all the buttons & click boxes on the timeline.  The sound is still there!  All I can think is that the RollOver state (which is the one that is responding to the mouse click, after all) is somehow retaining the original setting?  And the state view doesn't have any option for disabling the mouse click, so it looks like I have to recreate my object from scratch with the checkbox selected this time.  Anyone else see this behavior?

Thanks, Lieve, that's a good point; I forgot to specify.  This is a Smart Shape object with "Use as Button" selected.  Do you think that makes any difference?

It should not make a difference but sometimes the behavior of shape buttons is bit different from the older type of buttons.

However, double-checked again this time with a shape button, and cannot repro your issue. When I checked the option 'Disable click sound' I didn't hear the clicks anymore, checked Preview in Browser and Preview in HTML browser. It was a normal, not a responsive project.

I just double-checked in CP9, and when I check the box 'Disable click sound' in the Properties panel of a button, which has InBuilt states I don't hear any click sound any more.

Something must be different in your situation, can you give more details? Which type of button is it: text button, transparent button, image button or shape button?
