Drag-and-drop format menu blank?

Hi everyone,

I've got a bit of a problem with the drag-and-drop interaction in Captivate 9.

I'm trying to edit the format for a drop target, but the Format menu is blank. I'm not able to edit the object actions, snap behavior, or caption options.

It's really unclear to me what triggered this menu to go blank. Before this problem appeared, I edited the snap behavior for one drop target, and then when I went to edit another drop target the Format menu was gone. In fact, the Format menu is gone for all the drop targets in this interaction.

Is this a feature or a bug?

Format tab will only have options after selecting a drop target. Are you sure to have select a drop target? If perhaps you changed names after creating the links between drag sources and drop targets, those links are lost. Activate the visibility of the links with the eye button at the top left.

Thanks for your response, Lilybiri.

Both good thoughts, but I'm certain that the drop target is selected and I'm also sure the links are in place--I can see them when I reveal the drag and drop and when I view the Set Correct Answers menu under Drag and Drop Options.

This has happened to me a few times in the past and I've just had to rebuild the drag and drop interaction from scratch, but it's quite a lot of work because these interactions have custom captions & actions for each drop target, so takes a lot of time to set up!

Any other thoughts?

Sorry but I first had to ask those questions.

Which exact version are you using? Do you clear the cache regularly? Did you install a patch recently for Captivate?
