Question

Drag and drop preventing package from loading

Hi everyone,

I've created a 10-question self-assessment quiz.  The first question is a drag and drop interaction set as a quiz question and the remaining questions are multiple choice and matching.

The quiz will not load the preview in browser or HTML5 in browser and won't load when I upload to my LMS to test.

I removed the drag and drop interaction slide and it previews and loads in LMS without a problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Cheers,

Audrie

LilybiriRodWard - thank you both for your responses

I ended up deleting the slide altogether and creating it again from scratch, as even copying the slide maintained the issue.  All good now.

You have stumbled upon one of the best solutions to several Captivate issues.

If something isn't working properly, just delete the troublesome slide and recreate it.

Seems to solve 7 out of 10 problems (that is a completely unscientific number with no basis other than my random comment )

Are all D&D objects visible from the start of the slide? It is set up as a question slide, I suppose. DId you try testing in SCORM Cloud?

I did use D&D quite a lot for HTML5 output, here is an example:

Drag&DropStates

Which version are you using? Is it a responsive or a non-responsive project (example above is rescalable, non-responsive).

Someone posted a similar issue last week, but it was only limited to specific browsers.  Have you tried viewing the content from your LMS in a number of browsers to test whether this issue might not apply across all of them?

Thanks for your response.

I've now tested from my LMS in Chrome, IE & Edge and it doesn't load in any of them.  I also uploaded it SCORM Cloud to test and it didn't load there either.

OK then.

Create a small test project with just one very simple drag and drop slide.  Turn on SCORM settings, publish to HTML5 and try uploading that zip file to your LMS to see if the issue is really with Drag and Drop.  If that project works then it would indicate there may be something else wrong with your original project.  If not even a single drag and drop slide works when published to HTML5 then you need to log a bug report with Adobe.
