How can I get the recording resolution size to apply my changes?

Hello, I'm working on a project that includes recorded screen capture. When I select "custom" to select a different resolution size, I'm able to select my preferred 1024x620. However when the recording begins, the resolution stays stuck in 1684x1014. Please advise.

    If you are recording slides in a project, that has already slides, the recording will be done in the resolution of the project. Is that what you mean? If your project is set up at 1684x1014, you cannot capture slides at another size.
