Question

How can I reset Pretest Questions to allow learners to do them again?

I'm developing a course with several sections the first of which features 6 questions which require an 80% pass from learners. Here's the workflow :

1. If learners gets less than 80%, they have to retake the pretest questions until they pass them
2. I have already set up the actions in Edit Pretest Action to progress with course if they get 80% or to restart the Pretest Questions if they fail to get 80%.
3. The course contains a Final quiz at the end but at this stage its the Pretest questions I need to fix

How can I reset results for each of the 6 Pretest questions. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance for all your help

To my knowledge there is no option to reset the Pretest other than relaunching the module entirely.

Only the main quiz has a Retake Quiz option that you can activate by allowing multiple attempts on the quiz and then selecting the Show Retake Button option.

If doing a pretest multiple times is important, you might be better off separating the pretest out into its own module and setting up the LMS to only allow the learner to continue to the following module if they can pass the pretest module.  However, you'd need to check with your LMS vendor to find out if your particular LMS supports this kind of dependency-based learning.

Thanks so much Rod. Your response got me thinking & I've decided to do remediation for any individual Pretest questions that learners get wrong. I haven't tried it yet but hopefully it should work
