How to add a user prompt, such as "Click Box," in Videos?

We will be using Captivate mainly for videos. How can I make a video pause in certain sections (such as where it says click "New") and only proceed when the user completes that action? I only see how to add a click box to an image, not a video. I've added a "Click Box" to the video but it won't let me do so in Edit mode and I can't seem to preview it as it continues to play where I have added the "Click Box."

In between clips is where I can include the ability to pause the video? I think I understand now, the clips need to be in separate slides. I cannot pause within an active video. Thank you for taking the time to explain!

In that blog post I did pause the video slide with advanced actions, but only wanted to show a popup, not to have the learner 'do' something. You are talking about actions by the learner, didn't specify what you meant. If ithose 'actions' are more than just looking at a popup it will be easier with static slides in between the video slides.

Video is passive. Are you talking about a video inserted in Captivate? If yes, know that event video cannot be controlled by Captivatre. If you want possible control you have to insert synchronized video. Maybe have a look at this blog post:

I created a Video Demo within Captivate. I have added text boxes to indicate an action, and would like to have the Video Demo pause until the user clicks that button/performs that action. I am able to trim and edit the video within Captivate so I'm not entirely sure I understand what you mean when you say it cannot be controlled by Captivate. Thank you for the blog! When looking at it, the pause button indicated under Timing doesn't seem to be an option:
