HTML5 In-Browser Preview Not Working in Cp9

I've searched around the forum and couldn't find an answer. When I select HTML5 Preview for my standard project, it opens in my default browser but all I see is the spinning loading animation for a long period of time. I want to say this is something to do with DNS or Local Host but I’m just not knowledgeable enough in this area. Does anyone recall if they have encountered this problem before and if so did they solve it?

You may have solved this by now, but just in case...

I've gotten our IT staff to install a local webserver, WAMP, on my windows development machine. (Macs use MAMP, LInux uses LAMP.)

Instead of previewing, most of my projects are published to the local drive and then accessed via the web url so that playback of video, interactive objects, HTML5, etc. is enabled via an actual web connection between browser and server.

Many preview problems are eliminated: flash security, learning interactions, JavaScript, HTML5 can each introduce their own set of conflicts, concerns and workarounds when previewed locally.

Hi,

May I know which version of Captivate you are using? Can you try updating to the latest version and see if your issue persists?

Refer: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/release-note/captivate-9-0-1-release-notes.html

Thanks,

Mohana
