I need to prepare a desktop learning piece for software which runs on a tablet.

I like to use a product called Explain Everything. The app allows captures to be annotated, audio recorded and product edited on the iPad.

Also depends on the computer you are using...If it is an iPAD tablet and you have a Mac you can use QuickTime and if the iPAD(or phone) is hooked up with a lightning cord you can capture as a new movie recording. (Note: It defaults to Macs built in camera for this function, but if you click the arrow next to the record button you can select your iDevice as source)

Depends on the Tablet. If it's an iPad, there is an app called "Reflector". I believe there is a similar app for Android tablets.
