Question

Is there a way to retain scrolling text?

In Captivate 9, we'd like users to be able to enter text into a scrolling text widget. However, when users navigate back to this slide later on, they will find that all of the text they entered previously has been wiped clean. Is there a way the text entered into the scrolling text widget can be retained for the duration of the learning experience?

Some additional background info: ordinarily I would prefer to use text entry boxes instead of the scrolling text widget. However, we've found that the end user does not see a scroll bar in the text entry box when using an iPad. No problem when played on PCs though.

Is this meant for SWF or HTML output? For SWF it is possible to control what is displayed, but it is not working for HTML output.

I used that feature in this blog post:

Another idea: why not use the Notes interaction?
