Multiple choice advances automatically in published course

In my course, I present the student with multiple choice questions after they've viewed a few slides. I've turned off the Back and Skip buttons in the questions because the student can navigate back and forward with the playbar controls.

The questions behave as they should when I preview them. When I publish to html 5, sometimes the questions misbehave by advancing automatically when I select an option. I can go back to the questions that advanced and try again. If I do this often enough, I can eventually answer the question and click Submit to get the feedback.

I read a previous post in which the Submit All button had been moved off the screen. Since I haven't done that, I don't believe that's the cause of my problem. Has anyone else experienced what I have described? Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

Thank you.

I have some questions: did you activate the option 'Submit All' or not? Are the questions scored questions or KC questions? Anywary, moving either the Submit or the Submit All button from the stage is a bad idea because they are the mort crucial embedded objects on quiz slides. I never show the playbar during a quiz, unless you are in deed using the Submit All feature.

"did you activate the option 'Submit All' or not? Are the questions scored questions or KC questions? "

No, I did not activate 'Submit All'. The Submit button appears in each question.

Although I refer to the questions as Knowledge Check questions, I have not disabled scoring.

The active options in Quiz Settings are: Clear, Review Mode Navigation Buttons, Show Progress, Allow Backward Movement, Show Score at the End of the Quiz, Allow User to Review the Quiz.

I've selected the option to Shuffle Answers in most of the questions, when it made sense to use this option.

After more testing, I've found that the automatic advance is most likely to happen when you select an incorrect response. On the next question, though, you can answer the question normally. It seems that, if you try to select the incorrect response for all questions, you advance automatically on every other question. The selection you made is not registered. Clicking on an incorrect option has the same result as clicking on Skip - except I've de-selected the Skip option.

Why did you mention 'Submit All' in your original questions?  Please take the playbar out because users will get stuck on quiz slides. When a quiz slide is left, the answer is frozen. Learner will be confused.

If you didn't change the normal design you have the two-step process for Submitting:

    1. Learner clicks Submit. The question slide remains paused, while the learner can read the feedback message, which will tell him to click on the slide or press Y. Only if attempts are not exhausted, the Retry message appears only and user can change answer.
    2. After clicking on the slide or having pressed Y the playhead is released and the actions you specified under Success and Last Attempt will be done. Which actions did you choose?

Have you messed with the default design of the quiz question slides by perhaps removing or deleting the Question Title (the one that says True/False or Multichoice)?

Doing this can cause question slides to malfunction.

No. I've changed the text that appears, but I'm using the text caption included with the quiz question.
