My Position Properties Option is Greyed Out in Captivate 9

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I tried another suggestion of going to Preferences --> Global Preferences: General Settings --> Enable Custom Workspaces. I then closed and reopened Captivate 9. This does nothing.

Just a guess here, but isn't Position Properties related to a Responsive project? The project you are working on doesn't appear to be responsive.

Try creating a new blank Responsive project and see if Position Properties is available after you add an object.

It's a little late, but might help someone. This is what happened in my cas. I was working with a .cptl (template) file and positioning doesn't work here. If you're working with a .cptx file it works.

Thanks for trying to help, but the OP marked that Rick's answer was correct. Position Properties is a panel that is only available for responsive projects. For normal projects, the size and location is handled in the Options tab of the Properties panel.

BTW: avoid using cptl-files because they can cause a lot of problems (duplication of actions etc). For most design needs a theme will be sufficient:
