When I shut down my system last evening my project was fine. This morning none of my text boxes are showing on the slide in the workspace but are showing on the thumbnails to the left.  My default is ok - black font, transparent text caption box. Other projects are are fine. Need help. Thanks!

    Diana,

if steps above do not work, you may also want to try resetting layouts for Captivate.

    • Close Captivate
    • Go to C:\users\public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets
    • rename the folder Layouts to Layouts_1

launch captivate and check the project.

It is a custom theme, asked about it. I have no idea where that theme was posted, but with your workflow OP could lose that theme totally if it was  in the Layouts folder. Sorry, you'll curse me perhaps but I want to prevent frustrations.

The work flow you described will replace the copy Layouts folder in pulic documents by a fresh copy from the original Layouts folder in the installation folder. Many users believe that custom themes should be stored there as well.

Thanks all, I need to head out of the office. Will work on the fixes Monday. Resetting preferences and clearing the cache didn't work. I may have to rebuild the theme in a Layouts to Layouts folder.

Which version do you use (full number please) and which OS?  Is this a custom theme?

Yes, this is a custom theme. I have used it for five projects. So far no issues. Thanks
