Question

"Pause After" option on Image Button disappeared?

Interesting thing happened that we cannot figure out. We have an custom image button we use as part of our object library. Usually, when I select the button and view the Timing properties I see an option for Pause After.

Our team reuses the object as part of a cptx file we use as a course template. We noticed this option was missing on my teammates device. I opened her file (to see if maybe the device had something to do with it), but did not see the Pause After option.

Now, whenever I open the cptx file we use as our "template" or any lesson I've created with it, I no longer see the option. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get it back.

Any ideas? We are using Captivate 9, most updated version, running as Administrators, and I am using a custom workspace (don't know about my teammate).

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, looks like I found a workaround. I closed all my projects, opened a new blank project, added a new image button, and the Pause After option is visible. Now I see it on my projects that it "disappeared" from.

Not sure what that's all about, but I guess it's a way to get the option back if we don't see it. There is obviously some reason for it disappearing, so if anyone reads this and understands what happened I'd love to know. (My suspicion is maybe it has something to do with the mode used on my teammates device when she opened the file?)

    Thanks!

Never did see such an issue. Some ideas: the 'template' is getting corrupted, that button was created in a much older version and is getting corrupt? Do you have the images used for that button? You can easily recreate a shape button in Captivate based on those images, using the Object State panel. The InBuilt states are saved with the object style for that button.

We do have the image, and we originally created it in Cp8. I will see about making a new one in 9. For now, it also looks like I can do what I just commented about. Strange, but it works.
