Project Name Variable cutting off

I'm using the $$cpinfoProjectName$$ variable in my master slides. When the tutorial runs, it only shows the first 15 letters. Is that as designed?

You are probably on an old version of Captivate, right? The default length of a variable, when inserted was 15 characters up to version 6. Now it is 50, but you can change it when you insert the variable using the X button. Do not type a variable just in the text, but always insert it with that X-button to avoid typos.

I'm using Captivate 8 and inserting the variable using the text caption. How else can I insert the variable and will that fix the 15 character limit? Thanks!

Of course you have to make the text container (caption or shape) wide enough to be able to show every character of the variable.
