Slides advance when a pause is set

My slides all advance automatically.  I have a pause set On Exit: Pause.  This is on the slide itself, not on any objects.  The presentation was created by selecting: File... New Project... Blank Project...

Am I doing something wrong?  All of my other presentations were created in a Responsive Project and didn't have the issues.

    Trying to use the ON EXIT event of a slide for this is NOT a good idea.

    If you want the slide to pause before the final frame, add a button or Click Box.
