TOC title for random question slides

I wish to create a quiz that draws randomly from a pool of questions.  I think I know how to do this (correctly), but when I do, the table of contents is only showing (under "Slide Title") the the name/title of the random question slide itself, which doesn't really give any useful information.  I am wondering if there is any way to instead show the title of the actual question that is selected (and presented) by the random question slide.  This, in my opinion, would be much more useful to users taking the quiz.  Is there any known way of doing this?  Thanks!

Yes, I am selecting "Submit All" in Quiz preferences.

I do have it set up so that the users can freely navigate through this quiz, the problem is that in order to do so, and have randomly selected groups of questions presented, I seem to have to use the "random question" slides and a question pool.  When doing it this way, the titles presented to the user are tied to the random question slides and not to the randomly selected questions that are "chosen", resulting in very vague question titles in the outline itself(which is my main problem with this).  I would like to display the actual question titles instead, but am not sure how/if possible.

I'll attach my project file in case that might help, I really do appreciate the help .

I don't seem to be able to attach a project file, but will insert image of Quiz settings.

Project files cannot be attached to these forum posts.

Lilybiri has already answered your question correctly.  The TOC only shows the name of the Random Question Slide and cannot dynamically give you the Slide Name of the randomly-selected quiz question slide that gets picked from the Question Pool at runtime.

Essentially the Random Question Slide is just a placeholder.

However, I think your idea of being able to have the selected slide show its name in the TOC if desired does have some merit.  So I suggest you log an enhancement request with Adobe for this.  You never know...

I am a bit wondering, because personally I never put quiz slides in the TOC, even prevent backwards navigation.

If you insist, I doubt that is possible at all. You can edit the inserted names in the TCO, and make them a bit more significant by pointing to the pool name where they'll be taken out.

Well, perhaps I am approaching this wrong, let me explain a bit more.

The idea is to present users with a group of randomly selected questions, that they can then freely navigate through and complete, in any order that they wish.  The TOC seems to allow for this, but the titles presented to the user are not linked up to the title of the actual questions presented, which really limits us to generic question titles.  On the contrary, Adobe Presenter does present users with the actual question titles (in the outline), and it might end up being the tool we go with, but it just seems so (otherwise) limited with formatting/layout choices.

Is there perhaps a better way to achieve this in Captivate?

Did you try it out? 'Free navigate'?  Question slides have very strict rules. When a user leaves a question slide, attempts are considered to be over. Or do you check 'Submlt All' in Quiz Preferences?
