Trouble Publishing Captivate

I'm new to Captivate, so forgive me if this is a simple question. I completed a project and have published it. I selected the HTML5 output. I uploaded the entire published file to my web server and pointed the entry file at the index.html file. However, when I try to go to the URL where I've uploaded the project, the status/loading circle just spins and spins and nothing ever loads. Is there some step I'm missing in the publishing process that would cause this issue? Does the captivate files itself also need to be uploaded to the web server? Thanks.

It doesn't even run on my laptop after being published.

I just need to do a published preview, and it just shows the loading spinner.

If your MAC is running HIgh Sierra OS version then you need to install a patch update from Adobe to get Captivate to work properly on that version.

I came across this problem yesterday in Captivate 9 on a mac. Preview was fine, but when I hit Publish HTML5 (no SWF) and uploaded via ftp to a server and then visited the index.html page, the launch would hang on the spinning icon.

What fixed it for me was unchecking preolader... Publish Settings - Project - Start and End. I haven't developed a preloader image yet so the field was blank, but I suppose the json was hung up on looking for a preloader that didn't exist?

I have the same issue. Upon testing I found my project worked perfectly on a different server but not on the Godaddy cPanel hosted environment. This makes me suspicious of a missing or disabled service on the webserver that is hosting my project. Does anyone know what the minimum server requirements are?

I get endless spinning on one server, and perfect operation on another, neither are LMS enabled environments and I have Quiz Reporting disabled in Captivate.

I asked the person in charge of our webpage and she said that's the same hosting environment we have. Not sure what's going on with Godaddy's cPanel. Glad to know it isn't just me.

Did you upload the whole folder? Everything in that folder is needed to play your course.

To a webserver as you told in your original question, that is strange. Do you get an error code, or just a loading animation?
