Trying to record demo and training at the same time

OK...I seem to remember when I first got Captivate 8 that you could record more than one software simulation at a time (multi-mode). I'm trying to do this, but I can't figure out how. I selected to add a software simulation and selected Automatic as the recording type. It seems I only have the ability to select one type of simulation from the Mode menu: Demo, Training, Assessment, and Custom. Do I have to use Custom? When I select that option, I still don't see anywhere to select more than one mode to record. I want to record a demo and training at the same time. Thanks!

That will not work because you are already in one file, you cannot expect it suddenly to be converted to 3 files. That was exactly the same behavior for previous versions.

To be able to capture in more than one mode, you have to start a new project with File, Record New Software Simulation (or the old shortcut CTRL-R).

Can you exactly explain your work flow, because it is still possible to have the same capturing several types of simulation in one capture process.

I select where in the film strip I want to start the simulation. Then, directly above the filmstrip, I select Slides>Software Simulation. Then I, again. select where in the filmstrip I want the sim to start, which then takes me to the window where I select the type of sim I want to record.
