Why are SVG files rasterized?

Hello, I'm very new to Captivate and I'm using Captivate 9. When opening SVG's, created in Illustrator CC 2015, into C9 the image isn't a true vector file and has been rasterized some. I can still edit the image in Illustrator and have the changes show up in C9, but I need a cleaner image. Even simple shapes are rasterized. Am I missing something? Thanks.
