Why did Adobe Captivate 8 online course in HTML5 stopped playing on iPad with latest iOS 10.3.1?

We have recently discovered that our online courses that were created in Captivate 8 and published as HTML5 stopped playing on iPad with latest software version 10.3.1  There is also an extra Play Button that now displays in the center of the video play window and is slightly offset from the first play button.  So did Apple make a change in 10.3.1 that is in conflict with the published content in HTML5?
