I am new to Captivate.  This is my first time working with the application.  I am currently working on practicing how to insert text animation on a slide.  I have 4 slides.  Performed the following steps as listed below.

1.   Working on slide 2.   I want to delete the Text caption Creating New Folders to insert a text animation in its place.   I deleted the Creating New Folders caption.   To insert the Text Animation,  I Choose Text > Text Animation.  The Text Animation Properties dialog box did not appear.  Why?

2.  I was unable to make changes in the dialog box to the following:  Text:  Replace Sample Text with Creating New Folders,  Change Font to Verdana , and the Size to 34.

I downloaded the application from the new links I was sent.  This feature still does not work.  What is the next step to resolve the problem?

Windows Operating System - Windows 10.  Using a single monitor setup.  As I have previously mentioned, I have never used Captivate.  I just got Captivate.

OK.  You may need to reset your Preferences.

Close Captivate down then go to the folder on your system where Captivate is currently installed and find the subfolder called utils.

In that folder, double-click the rfile called CleanPreferencesWikn.bat

That will reset your Preferences.  Reboot your system and try Captivate again.

Text Animations are Flash-based. Are you perhaps creating a responsive project, which can only be published to HTML5?

I am new to Captivate.  Not sure what you are asking me.  I just want to know why when I select Text>Text Animation, the Text Animation Properties Dialog box did not display to allow me to make changes to the words Sample Text with Creating New Folders.  This is the second time this has happened.  I have reinstalled Adobe Captivate 2017 a second time. The version I now have is 10.0.0.192.  I am having the same problem.

Are you on a Windows Operating System or a MAC OS?

Are you currently using a dual monitor setup, or have you at any time in the past used a dual monitor setup with Captivate?
