Will Captivate 2017 open an online pdf link?

I'm trying to get Captivate 2017 to open a pdf that I have online after a button is clicked.

I thought that the open url option in the properties panel would do it but it's not.

Any suggestions?

If you are testing this from your local PC, upload your content to a web server or LMS and test it from there. Your link may be blocked due to browser security (if HTML5 output) or Flash Global Security (if SWF output). Testing from the web is preferred.

RodWard it turns out I had to clear the cache is Captivate 2017. It works now.

I had the pdf on my hosted website. Works great now.

I ran out of cache is I was unable to paste the url with the pdf on it within the properties panel.
