Hi Folks,

I've recently had to take over admin duties for our servers, can anyone please point in the direction to any updates, the version details are below.

Is it just a case of downloading an installer and exe'ing it?

Server ProductColdFusion MX
Version7,0,2,142559
EditionStandard

Many thanks

Or are you asking about patches and hotfixes for CF 7.

    Thanks for your replies.

I'm open to suggestions really, what do you suggest?

Would it be worthwhile upgrading from the version I have?

How much would it cost and how would you go about it?

    Hi,

Do you know if your CF applications will work on CF9? If so then answer would be straight forward - upgrade. There are some benefits moving from CF7 which uses Java 1.4.X to CF9 which uses Java 1.6.X (ie current). If not then you need to do some testing of your CF applications on say a development CF9 system.

Do you want to upgrade TO CF 7

    OR

Do you want to upgrade FROM CF 7 to the latest (or at least newer).

If the former, do you already have the installation materials?

The issue here is the Adobe no longer supports CF 7.  They only support the current version (CF 9 at the time of the post) and the previous version (CF 8 ...).
