Question
CF8 vs. PHP MySQL vs. Access
Hi, I’m back, Thanks for all the answer previously!!
This is more of a BLOG Question between the use of ColdFusion vs. PHP and MySQL vs. Windows Access, but I think it's time for some serious questions and answers and I'm sure or at least the serious developer should have crossed this bridge sometime or another.
I would really like to here some good answer on what combo to use, and I know a lot has to do with what type of site will be developed and skill levels of the persons putting this together. Simple answer because nothing I’m working on is top secret, or if I tell you I’ll have to kill you!, and we are all Newbie’s working together, from the younger 60's to the early teens! This is a dynamic family website, created for all the family around the world, far and near. Not just to put things on MySpace or the likes, but our own, with blogs, picture uploads, neat flash attacks and private emails, with a data driven food (cooking receipt book), birthday, anniversary, family calendar etc. etc. We tried this before and it was through a hosting company with some simple build your own, not knowing at the time what ‘static’ was, NOT GOOD!
So, what is the value difference between PHP and ColdFusion, MySQL vs Access
Thanks Again For EveryOne Help!!
