Hi folks

I have just installed a developers version of cf8 into a 32 bit version of windows 7.

When i try and add a new datasource i get an error saying that the (file tree) applet is not installed

I have tried just about everything i can think of ??????????

I have the same version in another comp with XP in it and it all works fine

Damn win7 @#$@#$@#$@@$  (lol)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

thanks in advance

Correct answer Dave Watts

You say you tried just about everything you can think of, but you didn't say what that was. That said, the applet requires client-side Java to work on your computer. You may need to install/reinstall Java, or try another browser.
