Loosing DB connection

ColdFusion keeps loosing the connection to the Oracle server adding significant overhead.  The maintain connection box is checked in the admin and the number of connections was reduced to one since there are no other application on our server.  How can we force CF to maintain the connection?

    I think you should raise the number of connections! Then Coldfusion would be able to make simultaneous connections to the database, leading to more data throughput.
