Trying to run CF on SQL Server 2008 R2

Hi,

I'm trying to run CF9 on SQL Server 2008 R2 and running into a problem. (Ok, lots of problems). The current problem I'm having is I've built a site on the SQL server and the .cfm pages do not show up.  I've added "*.cfm" in the App Mappings tag with "System.Web.Handlers" as the type. I'm getting the Server Error "Could not load type".  The html pages all work. Could I get some pointers as to what I might be missing?

Thanks!!

Hi Jo,

I think you might be better off posting in server administration and titling the post CF9 on Win08 r2 IIS errors or something similar since the problem your discussing has little to do with database or SQL 08 r2. Having said that generally people here are very helpful and will likely follow your discussion to mean CF on Windows problem.

Some more details could help. Is CF 9.0.0 or 9.0.1, is Win 08 r2 and IIS (versa say Apache) in use as the webserver?

Is CF9 application service running in SERVICES.MSC? Can you run Programs > Adobe > CF9 >  "Web Server Configuration Tool" and see if CF is configured to the webserver?

Sorry more questions than answers from me.

HTH, Carl.

Hi Carl
I looked and CF is not configured to the webserver. I think I'll start there.

Thanks!
