Having account trouble changing primary email address - Where to post?

My primary email address is going away.  It's associated with a web domain I am going to close.  I have only one primary email account I can use- my gmail address.  But when I try to make the change I get a notice that it is in use. The email address I want to use as primary is now my secondary address.  I deleted it and tried to make it primary but still get the "in use" error.  I added t again as secondary. 

 

I have only one Adobe account I'm aware of.  Please help me find the proper place to post this.  I've been trying to fix this for years!
