ADE is not allowing the activation of my computer.

When I tried to enable my laptop by clicking on HELP- ENABLE LAPTOP. I enter my adobe id and my password. The system says "it is not possible to be connected to the activation server. please check if you are conected to the net". Of course I am connected, I open a new tab with the Adobe website, and I enter my adobe id and password (the same I used for activation) and it works. But on the ADE application is not working. It is a VAIO laptop with Windows Vista. MANY THANKS!
