Adobe Digital Editions V4 Freezes on my new PC

Hi On my new PC

AMD 8350 8 Gb Ram 1 TB 

on my old computer I ad no problems even with my library at 636 Books

but on the new PC Digital editions Freezes and I have to use the Task Manager to end the Not Responding program.
